Hoyt
Properties has developed over 10 million square feet of office and
industrial properties throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul
Metropolitan area. We feel fortunate to have developed property in
Burnsville, Minnesota. As opposed to other cities that have almost
made the rules up as we went through the development process, the
city of Burnsville has always been a great city to work in.
Burnsville is very pro-development. The Mayor, city council, city
staff and inspection department have all worked with us to ensure a
smooth and efficient development process. The city has very high
development standards which have resulted in a high quality building
landscape. We wish more cities were like Burnsville!

Moving Permac to Burnsville in 1998 was the best decision we ever
made as a business.
We feel a sense of belonging and believe that the Burnsville
community really wants our company here. They will listen and do
what it takes to work through any issues or concerns we may have. It
is evident in all the support available from city Government to the
Chamber. Everyone is very friendly and works to make it easy for us
to do business! People helping people to be successful. How
wonderful is that!
Get involved and you will be amazed at what avenues are available to
you to too.

Business Card Service, Inc. (BCSI) first moved to Burnsville in
the spring of 1978. Since that time we have grown over 20 fold in
sales. Today, BCSI provides corporate stationery for over 17% of the
Fortune Companies. To accommodate this growth we have moved 3 times,
and built our last two buildings, all here in the wonderful city of
Burnsville.
During these 28 years Burnsville has seen a lot of growth in new
development and re-development. I can say with confidence Burnsville
is a “Pro-Business” community. What does it mean to be
“Pro-Business”? It means when you are building, the city council and
it’s staff are flexible with such things as PUD (planned unit
development) to accommodate the business needs when necessary. It
also means the city gets input from property owners on things like
road projects and zoning changes.
The city also gets input from stake holders on many policy decisions
through groups such as; The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, Economic
Growth Committee, The Southcross/Burnscott Business Coalition, The
Northern Business Coalition and the Medical Alliance to name just a
few.
BCSI has hired people graduating form Burnsville High School as well
as two local community colleges, the nearby vocational college and
many of the local colleges.
These things, and others too numerous to mention make the City of
Burnsville a great place for business.
